About the Course:

Sponsored by ICPI Member companies throughout the United States and Canada, the ICPI Concrete Paver Installer Course is an in-person, two-day classroom course. Successful completion of the course is a key requirement to become an ICPI Certified Concrete Paver Installer.

The course provides an introduction to the construction of interlocking concrete pavement systems using concrete pavers and slabs. All coursed are taught by ICPI Authorized Instructors.

Instructor Information


    Donny Duke Donny's talents with hardscapes as an ICPI Residential Specialist and Certified Concrete Paver Installer, along with his NCMA installer certifications, have inspired him to help train fellow contractors as an Authorized Instructor for ICPI. Donny is frequently teaching classes throughout the US and Canada. Donny also serves on as the Chair of the ICPI Construction Committee, the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of ICPI, as well as regular Judging for the HNA Installer Championships, and the HNA Hardscape Awards, as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).


    Andrew Harris Andrew Harris is a 20 year veteran of the Hardscapes industry both as a manufactures rep and as an owner/operator of his hardscapes company in Tennessee. Andrew has taken these experiences and knowledge to present the ICPI level 1 and the Advanced Residential Paver Technician courses for more than 10 years as an instructor for ICPI and has presented the Advanced Residential course for the last 7 years at the annual Hardscapes North America expo in Kentucky. Andrew and his family live in Atlanta, Georgia where he is a Regional Territory manager for Belgard Hardscapes.


    Bryan Horr Bryan Horr is a highly motivated Civil Engineer with eleven years of construction project experience, now focused on enhancing best practices for installing interlocking concrete pavements. He has construction supervisory experience managing project employees, including subcontractor staff with demonstrated success managing high-profile projects on time and within budget. In 2019, he earned his Professional Engineer status with the motivation to learn more especially about permeable interlocking concrete pavements.


    Jeremy Martin Jeremy Martin has been in the green industry all his life. He co-founded Willow Gates Landscaping in 2005, and began installing hardscapes in 2006. He’s been an ICPI certified installer since 2008, and became an instructor in 2017. Today Willow Gates Landscaping is primarily a design/build company, although they still offer landscape maintenance services. While still working in the field, Jeremy has a passion for educating and advancing the green industry. He is an authorized ICPI instructor for the CPI, RS, and PICP courses as well as the NCMA SRW Installer Basic course. Jeremy also teaches a silica safety course for hardscapers. One of his favorite teaching opportunities, however, is introducing high school students to the hardscape trade with a hands-on shop class.


    Dan Moreland Dan is a Belgard Architectural Representative for Oldcastle APG, Inc. where he has worked for over 17 years. He has worked on hardscaping projects with some of the world’s top architectural and engineering firms from Manhattan and the Northeast United States. Dan is an ICPI instructor that has taught in 5 states including several times at HNA. He is a member of the ICPI Technical Committee and vice-chairman of the ICPI Commercial Promotion Team Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and resides in Allentown, PA.


    Craig Sheller Craig Sheller is a Hardscape Industry Professional with over 20 years of experience in Construction, Landscaping and Hardscape. From 2008-2015 Craig was the owner of Sheller Lawn and Landscape in Kansas City, Mo and was featured in multiple Hardscape Publications and Catalogs. In 2015, Craig’s interest in Coaching and Mentoring other Hardscape Professionals led him to a Sales Management Position in Hardscape Distribution. After 3 years in Distribution Craig had an opportunity to join the Mirage, USA team in 2018! He now travels the Central US teaching hardscape dealers and installers new trends and best practices for installing Porcelain Pavers. Craig is also an Instructor with the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). In his free time Craig enjoys spending time with his Wife and 4 kids!


    Bruce Stickney Bruce Stickney is the Key Account Manager of Hardscapes Expocrete APG - Vancouver BC Canada. He has 33 years Hardscape & Construction experience as acontractor/installer in Residential & Commercial projects. He has dealer sales & training, technical sales - Architects & Engineers and contractor sales - Residential & Commercial. Bruce is a Certified Instructor / Trainer : ICPI paver systems , AB SRW systems. He is here to help you Plan , Design , Build & profit ! - using Hardscape industry Best Practices.

    Andrew Vear Mr. Vear has owned and operated several construction companies since emigrating from the UK in 1988. He is a co-founder of the school of advanced segmental paving in Wisconsin. His projects include mechanical paver installations from Alaska to Florida that range from 300 Sq ft to over 8 acres! Some of his projects include the FSU Stadium and the New Orleans Saints Super Dome. He currently volunteers his time for ICPI as member of three of our committees as well as a member of the board of directors for the northern California chapter. Andrew is a certified licensed commercial and residential general contractor in Nevada, California, and Florida, and is currently Managing Director for Paverbright LLC Andrew that you so much for joining us, the floor is yours.

(If you don’t have the required installation experience yet, you can still take the course and pass the test now, then get certified when you complete your 10,000 square feet and your five projects.) Renew your Certification:

You will need to renew you Certification every two years by gaining eight hours of Continuing Education credits, which can be earned by participating in on-demand webinars available here, or by taking eight hours of approved continuing education from other organizations.
