Using Slabs and Planks in Vehicular Applications

An increasing number of ICPI members are manufacturing and installing concrete paving slabs and planks. While these products can take a modest amount of vehicular traffic, a key question for the industry and designers is how much? Join Bryan Horr P.E., ICPI Manager of Technical Development and Market Promotion, for a discussion on the best practices and technical recommendations surrounding the use of concrete slabs in vehicular applications.

Bryan Horr, P.E. is a highly motivated Civil Engineer with 11 years of construction supervisor experience. His knowledge of the construction world is a combination of fieldwork and bookwork. Bryan is now Manager of Technical Development and Market Promotion for ICPI and brings that combination of knowledge back to the classroom. He has taught students the ICPI Concrete Paver Installer Course and the PICP Specialist Course, and dedicates much of his time to educating design professionals on the benefits of using interlocking concrete pavers as a superior pavement system.
